# Bear Necessities Academy

> Bear Necessities Academy is a scouting organization for kids in Sandpoint, ID, focused on outdoor adventures, hands-on skill-building, and merit badge earning.

Bear Necessities Academy is founded on three ideals — the Good, the True, and the Beautiful — championed by a founding community of parents and mentors. Scouts grow in character, knowledge, and confidence through outdoor adventures, workshops, and merit badges.

Merit badges currently offered include Woodcraft, Navigation, Wildlife, Fire Safety, Shelter Building, and First Aid, with more planned as the program grows.
